HÜRNER LI Line, the 4-3-2 Machine Manual

The HÜRNER 4-3-2 Manual Hydraulic Series of butt-welding machines in the LI Line generation makes a statement by its superior manufacturing quality and its scalability in the form of an easy upgrade to a data logging-enabled machine with the installation of an SPG 2.0 data logger for welding report logging.

The machine ships with a hydraulic unit that features, as a unique characteristic, a totally integrated enclosure that also is a splash and dirt shield for all components on the inside. The front panel controls, too, are included in the ingress protection according to the IP 54 rating (where IP 64 is possible upon request).

All connections, including an additional power socket free to use for the operator’s convenience, are located at the back of the controller. Both the facing tool and the heating element are also connected at the back panel of the hydraulic controller. Therefore, no additional power distribution unit is needed.

HÜRNER’s EasyWeld Line is your professional solution for butt-welding applications with PE, PP, PVDF¹⁾ and ECTFE¹⁾ pipes and fittings for all pressure ratios, from O.D. 20 through 110 mm (Tees O.D. 20 through 90 mm) and O.D. 50 through 180 mm. This system enables a unique way of handling that is simply unavailable anywhere else. For welding operations, it offers all the advantages of a mobile butt-welding system that is user-friendly and handy enough to be at home at any place, both on worksites and in workshops. The master clamps on the machine chassis are available, in the standard delivery, with horizontal and for the EasyWeld 110 T model also with vertical adjustability, which is particularly important for optimum results in Tee and segmented-bend welding applications. Its compact and lightweight design turns the machines into the optimum choice for overhead welding operations. This requires just the easy step of disassembling the machines from its base panel. The manufacture of fittings is possible thanks to the clamps on the chassis bilaterally swiveling by up to 15 deg. each (∢ 30 deg.). For tee jointing operations using the EasyWeld 110 T model, master clamps for the chassis are available that are set at a 45 deg. angle. The machines as a whole with its frame are mounted on a heavy-duty, powder‑coated base panel. Besides the standard delivery that includes a power facing tool, an outfit with a perfectly ergonomically designed manual facing tool is also available for the EasyWeld 110 V 2 model version. Both the power and the manual facing tools feature a reversible blade. The electronically controlled, PTFE-coated heating element features an integrated temperature control.

HWT 500 CS

HÜRNER's HWT 500 CS servo-operated workshop system is the end-to-end transformation of worksite technology into workshop systems. The system has been developed in compliance with the so-called machinery directive 2006/42/EC as amended and allows making segments, tees, Y pieces and crosspieces in workable dimensions from O.D. 200 (160) through 500 mm | 6" - 20". The welding system is set on a welded or a screwed-fast, heavy-duty, no-warp support frame and the bearings on which move both the horizontally traveling carriage and the heating element and facing tool assembly, are designed as precision-engineered and heavy load-bearing trapeze-shaped guides with precision-matched runner blocks. It goes without saying that all parameters that are critical for a high-quality and reproducible welded joint are monitored throughout the process and saved to the memory of the system, which can hold up to 10,000 reports. Furthermore, all CNC systems are equipped with a USB interface to enable downloading the welding reports in the PDF format to a USB stick or sending them to the management database in the HÜRNER DataWork Professional format. It is also possible to label a joint immediately for its quality by printing on plastic foil an indelible label tag with the available tag printer that will identify the fitting.

HÜRNER WhiteLine SPG 2.0

HÜRNER’s welding data logger SPG 2.0 is made for easy and safe welding process control and report logging pursuant to the ISO 12176 standard.

The report generation system is specifically matched to HÜRNER butt-welding machines of the Manual Hydraulic series, but can of course be used with other systems effortlessly. The SPG 2.0 control software ships ex works with configurations for many third-party systems already installed. Therefore, the logger constitutes an upgrade for manually operated welding machines to achieve ISO-compliant recording, error handling, and welding process control. At every step in the welding process, the SPG 2.0 indicates the nominal and the actual values of the welding pressures and times, to walk the welder operating the hydraulic unit easily and correctly through the process. The unit thereby achieves the optimum welding process, in line with nationally applicable standards, as affecting both heating element temperatures and welding pressures and times.

Electrofusion Sanitary Applications

HÜRNER’s all-purpose electrofusion welders for heater-coil fittings offer expertly and convenient jointing with PE fittings for electrofusion sized 16 - 315 mm in wastewater and roof draining applications. Controlled by a microcontroller, the next-generation welder HÜRNER HST-S-315 2.0 enables temperature compensation by welding duration and features input and output voltage monitoring. It thereby is the convenient choice for power supply from a generator on a worksite, too. The welding process is monitored for its full duration, and relevant information is displayed on the seven-segment screen. The welder ships equipped with connection adapters A00, A01, A02, A03, A04, and A0P (Waviduo 200 - 315 mm). The delivery also includes a manual scraper for professional pipe preparation before welding. With its compact dimensions and the long power supply and welding cables, the welder has an extremely large working radius and can therefore be used for those pipelines that are hard to reach.

HÜRNER WhiteLine WeldControl 2.0

The handling of a WeldControl machine is simply unique and it enables an approach to welding no other system is able to offer. Either the operator makes use of the assistance of the interactively responding hydraulic and control unit. Or the manual mode is selected to make the joint “by hand”. In the WeldControl mode the system walks the operator through the process after the pipe parameters were entered or confirmed. This includes monitoring the operator’s inputs and recording the entire process. WeldControl machines do not only provide presets, though; they facilitate the work, e. g., by reducing the pressure automatically when the automode was enabled. Welding reports have all data required by ISO traceability. In the Manual mode the display screen works as a digital gauge. It displays the welding pressures and heating element temperatures and is a one-stop provider of all data. Industry version: Optionally, the machine chassis (250, 315, 355, 500, 630) are also available in an industry set-up with a modified 3^rd clamp for clamping fittings with a short connecting stub.*⁾ *⁾Retrofit kit for converting existing systems to industry version available upon request!

HWT 400 Line

HÜRNER's HWT 400 Line is the end-to-end transformation of worksite technology into workshop systems. As a consequence, the HÜRNER HWT 400 mm workshop line, too, has systems of the versions CNC (HWT 400 CS and HWT 400 CS-S), WeldControl (HWT 400 WeldControl), and Manual Hydraulic (HWT 400 M). All systems have been developed in compliance with the so-called machinery directive 2006/42/EC as amended and allow making segments, tees, Y pieces and crosspieces in workable dimensions from O.D. 90 through 400 mm (3 - 16" IPS). The HWT 400 CS-S is equipped with additional master clamping assemblies designed for sidewall fusion onto the pipe saddle. The control software has been specifically adapted to allow one-sided preheating of the straight pipeline. The welding systems are set on a welded or a screwed-fast, heavy-duty, no-warp support frame and the bearings on which move both the horizontally traveling carriages and the heating element and facing tool assembly, are designed as precision-engineered and heavy load-bearing trapeze-shaped guides with precision-matched runner blocks. HWT 160 M / M+

Practical plastic butt-welding machines for jointing PE and PP pipes and fittings from O.D. 32 / 40 - 160 mm (1½" ‑ 6") with the heating element process, these tremendously mobile next-generation welding machines for on-site and in-shop applications are extremely versatile and especially suited for sanitary installations, drain piping, and pressure pipes for water conveyance as well as roof drains and chimney refurbishing systems. The machines are shiped with a sturdy stand, an electrical facing tool, heating element, and all reducer inserts; arrives plug-and-play, fully installed. Its clamps swivel by up to 15 degrees allowing segmented bend welding in sizes O.D. 32 / 40 - 160 mm (1½" ‑ 6").
